Availability 🗓

Properties with available nights to share (in that five day in advance window) will show up on the Hostshare map and in your search. If a property's shared nights have all been used or they are all booked out, that property won't be visible to book five days (or less) out.

Cleaning Fees 🧼

The only fee associated with booking a stay on Hostshare is the cleaning fee 💃🙌🏻 The cleaning fee is figured by the hosts standard cleaning fee. Some homes are larger or require pool cleaning and heating, so fees will differ.

Communication With Your Host 📲

Hostshare has in-app messaging which will allow you to communicate with your host before and during your stay. This is how you will receive your check-in instructions and ask any questions you may have.

Amenities & Rules 😄

Amenities & Rules are available to view on a Hostshare listing before booking a stay to ensure that particular STR is a good fit for you.

Host Cancellation Policy 🚨

If a host cancels, it will be viewed in the same way cancellation is negatively viewed on Airbnb or VRBO. The Hostshare team may revoke membership as a result. A small limit of cancellations may be allowed before membership would be reviewed and revoked.

Stay Cancellation Policy ✈️

Members can cancel for free within one hour of booking a stay. This policy is in place to give members the chance to cancel if there was an error when booking or a change in circumstances.

If you cancel your stay within this window, you will receive:

• A full refund of any payment made.
• Reinstatement of any free nights used for the booking.

This policy also gives hosts peace of mind, knowing that there will not be a last minute cancellation after accommodations have been made for their property.

After the one-hour booking window, your booking becomes non-refundable. We enforce this policy to provide stability and assurance for both our hosts and guests planning their stays. If you cancel your booking beyond the one-hour free cancellation period:

• You will not receive a refund for your stay.
• Any free nights applied to the booking will not be returned to your account.

This policy helps ensure that our hosts can manage their properties effectively and that guests are committed to their bookings.

Minimum Night Requirement ⏰

Since we are using last minute (within 5 days), non revenue nights, there is no minimum night requirement for stays. You pay the standard cleaning fee even if you stay only one night.

Extending a Stay 🎉

You may be able to extend your stay by up to 3 days at a time if the home is not booked and the host has nights left to share.
